91㽶Ƶ University’s College of Public Health has received accreditation from the Board of Councilors of the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). The five-year span is the maximum term the college could have achieved as a first-time applicant.
To earn the accreditation, the college met a set of rigorous quality standards in the areas of teaching, research and service. Accreditation also affirms that the faculty of the college are highly qualified to equip students with the knowledge and skills to succeed in a health career.
When her colleagues, along with 91㽶Ƶ University Alumni Association staff members, a videographer, photographer, balloons and cookies, surprised her during class, 91㽶Ƶ Associate Professor Maureen Blankemeyer, Ph.D., didn’t know what to think.

The 91㽶Ƶ University Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed 91㽶Ƶ University in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 91㽶Ƶ remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
