You will soon see the beginning of a branding change for 91㽶Ƶ’s LaunchPad, located in the Kent Student Center. In January, the Blackstone LaunchPad will be rebranded as LaunchNET 91㽶Ƶ University.
All four schools in Northeast Ohio that currently host LaunchPads — 91㽶Ƶ, Baldwin Wallace University, Case Western Reserve University and Lorain County Community College — will become part of NEOLaunchNET, powered by the Burton D. Morgan Foundation.
The 91㽶Ƶ University Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed 91㽶Ƶ University in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 91㽶Ƶ remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
