City of Kent Partners With 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ and UH to Launch New Lifesaving Tool
Sudden cardiac arrest, when the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating, is the leading cause of natural death in the United States. To help people survive from sudden cardiac arrest, the city of Kent has partnered with 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University and University Hospitals Portage Medical Center to offer PulsePoint Respond.

91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University’s Director of Public Safety and Police Chief Dean Tondiglia was honored with the university’s 2019 Diversity Trailblazer Award for his years of promoting inclusion and diversity within public safety.
91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Police Dog Coco Celebrates Five Years of Service
91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University Police Services is celebrating the five-year anniversary – or the 35 dog-year anniversary – of its first K-9 unit, which features 7-year-old German Shepherd Coco and herhandler, Officer Anne Spahr.
Coco was the first police dog at 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. She is now one of two police dogs at the university.
