Thanks to a rare Grant Opportunities for Academic Liaison with Industry (GOALI) award from the National Science Foundation (NSF), 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ University researchers in the new Advanced Materials and Liquid Crystal Institute will be able to work with partners at Merck Performance Materials to advance life-saving sensory technology.

The work of 153 ecological researchers from 40 countries, including 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ University Assistant Professor Dave Costello, Ph.D., from the Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences, has revealed new findings on the effect of climatic factors on river-based ecosystems.
