From the time he was a young child, Tom Batiuk, ’69, knew he wanted to be a cartoonist. The Funky Winkerbean creator drew inspiration for his characters and storylines from his real world, including his time at 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ.

The 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University Alumni Association Announces New Members For Its National Board of Directors
The following new members have been appointed to the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Alumni Association National Board of Directors for a three-year term, which began July 1: Jeff Guritza, of Brecksville, Ohio, is the vice president of marketing at SOPREMA USA. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ in 1994.

New Lake Erie College President Is a 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Alumna
91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ alumna Jennifer N. Schuller has been named president of Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio. She is the first woman to lead the institution in 75 years.
