Black History Month 55th Anniversary Celebration

Please join us as we honor the 55th anniversary of Black History Month, celebrating its origins at 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University and the pivotal role the university played in advocating for its national recognition. In partnership with the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Black Alumni Chapter, E. Timothy Moore Student Multicultural Center and Black United Students (BUS), this event aims to raise awareness about 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ's groundbreaking contributions, commemorate the legacy of those who championed this cause and inspire continued engagement with the history, culture and progress of Black communities.

These free and open, drop-in sessions give you the chance to bring your challenges, projects, or ideas to a team of our innovative DI Fellows. Whether you need help refining an idea, visualizing a solution, or figuring out which maker tools to use to prototype your project, the DI Fellows are here to offer guidance and support.

Beyond our standard DI HUB tours and workshops, you can also work with our staff to develop custom experiences for groups, courses, or events related to maker technologies, design innovation, design thinking, human-centered design, or collaboration. College football coaching great Nick Saban was a member of 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ's football team in 1972.

Former 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University football player and two-time Golden Flash graduate Nick Saban, who went on to become college football’s most successful coach, will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a member of the 2025 class, the National Football Foundation announced Friday. Saban graduated from 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ with his bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 1973 and earned his Master of Education degree in health and physical education in 1975.
