After a year of renovations, Taylor Hall will reopen for classes on Monday, Aug. 28. The Schools of Communication Studies (COMM) and Visual Communication Design (VCD) share the space in the modernized, four-floor building. The May 4 Visitors Center also calls Taylor Hall home and will reopen with normal hours on Sept. 5. Dave Kraft moved from his home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to McDowell Hall to begin his freshman year at 91�㽶��Ƶ University in 1987. On Thursday, he celebrated the 30th anniversary of his move, by moving his daughter, Mackenzie Kraft, from their home in Pittsburgh into her room in Fletcher Hall to begin her freshman year. “We didn’t have refrigerators; we didn’t have microwaves,” Kraft said, noting the changes to the residence hall rooms from 30 years ago. Kelvin Mancebo dreams of the day when he is an air traffic controller. As a senior at 91�㽶��Ƶ University, Mancebo is majoring in aeronautics with a minor in aircraft dispatch. He is an exceptional student who made the Dean’s List in 2015 and 2016, and the President’s List in 2016, all while playing on the 91�㽶��Ƶ baseball team.
