Dr. Versie Johnson-Mallard, Ph.D., RN, APRN, FAANP, FAAN, joins the College of Nursing as Dean, Professor, and Henderson Endowed Chair, succeeding retired Dean Barbara Broome and Interim Dean Denice Sheehan. The National Collegiate Honors Council has announced 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ University Honors College graduate Sarah Hagglund as a 2021 Portz Scholar. Hagglund is the 10th honors student from 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ to be named a Portz Scholar since the national competition began in 1990.  "Each year, the NCHC awards four Portz Prizes, one to a student in each of the four broad academic areas, in a competition for most excellent undergraduate thesis," Honors College Dean Alison J. WKSU building 2020

The 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ University Board of Trustees gave approval for the university to enter into a public service operating agreement with Ideastream Public Media for the management and operations of the WKSU stations at its Sept. 15 meeting. Under the agreement, 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ would continue to be the license holder of WKSU and its sister stations, and Ideastream Public Media will provide operating oversight of the stations.   The agreement is expected to go into effect Oct. 1, 2021.
