As part of the accreditation process, the educator preparation programs are also reviewed by Specialized Professional Associations (SPAs), the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE), and/or other accrediting agencies.
High-quality teachers and principals are developed through high-quality educator preparation programs. Ohio Revised Code 3333.048 requires the Chancellor of Higher Education and the Superintendent of Public Instruction to establish and publish metrics for institutions of higher education that prepare educators and other school personnel.
Annual reporting measures provide incentives for providers to routinely gather, analyze, and report critical data about their programs as one means for public accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

These programs have been determined by the Ohio Department of Higher Education to be out-of-scope for CAEP accreditation purposes. These programs are reviewed and approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ also offers licensure programs that CAEP does not specifically review because they are accredited by another CHEA-recognized accreditor; these programs are all also approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education:
