Emad Khazraee, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, co-authored a paper titled "A Networked Reaction to the 2015 Ankara Attack in the Turkish Twittersphere" with colleagues from the Ohio State University School of Communication. The paper was presented by Aysenur Dal, an OSU doctoral student, at the Political Networks Conference (POLNET) on June 24, 2016, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Since the holiday season calls for delicious and indulgent foods like pumpkin pie, candied yams, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, not surprisingly a person consumes an average of 3,000 calories at Thanksgiving dinner – 1,000 over the recommended daily intake, according to Spoon University.
The average person gains six to 10 pounds over the holiday season, says Tanya Falcone, registered dietitian and nutritional outreach coordinator at 91㽶Ƶ University. This can lead to significant weight gain over the years that does not shed, even after the New Year.
The 2018 Learning Resources Network’s International Awards named 91㽶Ƶ University’s Center for Corporate and Professional Development as the “Best Brochure Design” for the center’s fall 2017/spring 2018 Catalog of Professional Development Offerings.
The Peace Basket Project gears up for its 21st year. The Professional Women of 91㽶Ƶ University started the Peace Basket Project in 1997, when a group of members created baskets of “little things” to share with the residents served by the King Kennedy Center. While the Professional Women of 91㽶Ƶ University is no longer active, this annual event continues with the support of members of the 91㽶Ƶ community.
Area residents who dread Christmas shopping but love giving and getting gifts are invited to a holiday shopping alternative — the Holiday Scavenger Hunt — in Kent beginning on Black Friday.
