This summer, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg made his first visit to 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ.
He was accompanied by U.S. Representative, and 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ alumna, Emilia Sykes. Together, they toured 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ's College of Aeronautics and Engineering with Dean Christina Bloebaum, Ph.D., and 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University President Todd Diacon, Ph.D. There, they saw demonstrations of the college's cutting-edge technology and met with students and several local mayors.
Later, Diacon, with Alison Caplan, director of the May 4 Visitors Center, led Buttigieg and Sykes on a tour of the center.
