All this week, "In A Flash" will feature images from the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University group's trip to Rwanda.
91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ educators and students visited a marketplace that sells goods made by marginalized women. Afterward, they watched a traditional dance troupe perform and were invited to dance with them.
The visitors from 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ are in Rwanda attending (held July 11-13), a global peace conference sponsored by 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’s Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the and the , a non-profit organization dedicated to ending genocide and other global atrocities.
Bringing together peace and conflict experts and educators from around the world, the conference is another building block in 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’s growing relationship with the University of Rwanda. In May 2022, 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’s Board of Trustees approved 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ opening a base of operations at the University of Rwanda for creating collaborative educational exchanges and to serve as a base of operations for 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’s recruitment throughout Africa.
