Lala Hajibayova, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, received a fellowship (about $2,000) from the National Science Foundation (NSF), Consortium for the Science of Sociotechnical Systems (CSST), to attend the Summer Research Institute for the Science of Socio-Technical Systems, June 27–July 1, 2016, in Stevenson, Washington.

Wadsworth-Booth, formerly the director of the Duquesne University Press in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, begins her duties on Sept. 11.

The 91㽶Ƶ Faculty/Staff Bowling League is now accepting new teams, members and substitute bowlers. Bowlers compete weekly on Monday evenings at 6:20 p.m. at Spins Bowl Kent (formerly Bill White’s Twinstar Lanes) on state Rt. 59 in Kent.
The Faculty/Staff Bowling League is open to all full-time, part-time and retired employees, as well as their families and friends.
The 2017-2018 91㽶Ƶ bowling season begins Sept. 18 and continues through April 9, 2018. The cost is $14 a week.
