Full Description

The Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management prepares students for entry-level management, supervisory and administrative positions in aviation and other aviation-related professional fields. This course of study combines technical and aeronautical courses with courses in management and information systems. Students entering this program should have an interest in helping or working with people and an ability to develop analytical and communicative capabilities.

The mission of the B.S. degree in Aviation Management is to prepare students for careers in aviation management and provide the professional aviation industry with qualified graduates who possess skill sets that comprise management principles, budgetary and financial components and technical knowledge consistent with those of successful aviation professionals.

Admission Requirements

The university affirmatively strives to provide educational opportunities and access to students with varied backgrounds, those with special talents and adult students who graduated from high school three or more years ago.

First-Year Students on the Kent Campus: First-year admission policy on the Kent Campus is selective. Admission decisions are based upon cumulative grade point average, strength of high school college preparatory curriculum and grade trends. Students not admissible to the Kent Campus may be administratively referred to one of the seven regional campuses to begin their college coursework. For more information, visit the .

First-Year Students on the Regional Campuses: First-year admission to 91香蕉视频’s campuses at Ashtabula, East Liverpool, Geauga, Salem, Stark, Trumbull and Tuscarawas, as well as the Twinsburg Academic Center, is open to anyone with a high school diploma or its equivalent. International Students: All international students must provide proof of proficiency of the English language (unless they meet specific exceptions) through the submission of an English language proficiency test score or by completing English language classes at 91香蕉视频’s English as a Second Language Center before entering their program. Former Students: Former 91香蕉视频 students or graduates who have not attended another college or university since 91香蕉视频 may complete the reenrollment or reinstatement form on the University Registrar’s website.

Transfer Students: Transfer students must have a minimum 2.250 overall GPA in all college-level coursework for admission to the Aviation Management major.

Graduates of this program will be able to:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of the role of federal legislation and regulatory policies in the management of agencies, airlines, airports, businesses and other organizations in professional aviation.
2. Demonstrate and apply knowledge and understanding of the technical details involved in the effective management of employees and operational systems in professional aviation.
3. Accomplish successful academic work in aviation and allied academic disciplines in preparation for graduate level or professional credentialing.
